I put up two screenshots showing that in 1960, one income could support an entire family of four and women didn't have to work. Now one median salary could not support a family of four. The average woman would also have to work to even be close. Everyone could buy a house back then. Now you either have to be a high earner or have a two person income. As a result in the second screenshot I believe that's why traditional marriages are also dying off. Most men don't make 165,000 to support a family

Yeah I think this was part of their long con for demoralization, it’s worldwide, also in Europe
The only way I’ll ever be getting my own home is if I pull an Israel and just annex someone else’s shit.
Here is another take. Couple years ago I was well enough off I decided to put my career on hold. Stress, shitty coworkers, shitty bosses. I’d had enough. Left it for a while and have been working odd jobs and a minimum wage job.
Then I met my partner. We just got married two months ago. She is well established career with seemingly good benefits. I had been using the ACA and my insurance was 125 a month.
When we went to add me to her insurance, the premium for her went up 325.
Now how the fuck is it possible that keeping my ACA is cheaper than adding me to the family plan at my wife’s so called awesome benifits career?
