I’m surprised they only mention bikes and cycling because they caused roads to be narrower. In my experience many people that previously used the bus to commute replaced it with (shared) bikes or electric scooters.

CMV: That’s am remarkably long text when the author could have simply written “We still give cars waaaay to much space”.
Like yeah, bikes slow down a bus on the same lane. But the reason why they have to share lanes is usually because nobody is bold enough to take enough space from cars so that both bikes and buses have their own separate spaces.
