On September 30, the Pentagon announced Project Meridian, with Elon Musk, Palmer Luckey and Newt Gingrich as co-directors.
Instead of starting with a theory about what that means, I started pulling records.
Pentagon announcements. MITRE records. SEC filings. Financial disclosures. Defense contracts. Private investment programs. SpaceX. Anduril. Saronic. Project Agincourt.
The recurring relationships are real. So are the limits of what the documents prove.
What the records show is how much the distance has narrowed between people helping the Pentagon think about future military capabilities, private investors financing those capabilities, and companies positioned to sell them.
That raises a simpler question, what conflict, disclosure and recusal rules govern the people sitting in that room?

SS: I’m posting this because the documented overlap between Pentagon advisers, defense contractors and private capital deserves examination without assuming that the overlap itself proves a conspiracy. I traced the relationships through Pentagon records, SEC filings, financial disclosures and procurement documents, and included both what the evidence supports and where the public record stops.

To me, the truly scary part is that all of these technofascists have been given a peek. Even if we survive the Trump regime, we will always be fending off this cabal of weirdos who have seen the soft underbelly at the seat of power. They will know how to exploit, weaken and capitalize it. It will never end until the nation is dead, or they are. That’s not a call to violence, just stark reality. As evidence, Musk brought us DOGE and he’s back for more at the Pentagon. The outlier is Gingrich. WTF?
