Summary: After resigning as PM, Keir Starmer also resigned as MP for Holborn and St Pancras. This triggered a by-election in which the leader of the Green Party, Zack Polanski, stood. The Greens also went into this election on the back of a controversial week of press after passing their “Zionism is Racism” motion. On massively reduced turnout (as is common for by-elections) the final results are
>Labour: 45.0% (-3.9)
>Green: 32.7% (+22.3)
>Conservative: 7.0% (-0.2)
>Reform: 5.9% (-0.2)
>Liberal Democrats: 3.4% (-2.4)
>Restore: 2.5% (+2.5)
>Workers: 1.1% (+1.1)
Realistically this means very little has changed since the General Election when independent candidate Andrew Feinstein stood on a pro-palestine platform and got 18.9% but didn’t run this time and endorsed the Greens, making up most of their increased share. But it’s a bad result for the Greens running their leader and most prominent candidate in this seat and barely making up ground
Also lets all laugh at Russian stooge George Galloway and the Workers Party
Relevance: Related to the topic of left wing populism in the UK and it’s current strength in contrast to the Labour party

No chance that Polanski resigns over this, there is no one else in the party popular across the party to take over and he’d almost certainly still easily win a leadership election, but it’s a massive blow to his authority at a time of already bad (self-inflicted) press for the Green party
