The US navy is preparing for [an attack by China as soon as next year](https://news.usni.org/2024/09/18/cno-franchetti-war-plan-preparing-navy-for-pacific-conflict-by-2027-with-flat-budgets-static-fleet-size) based on increasing Chinese strength and the build up of the Chinese navy. The lessons that Russians have learned from Iran using their jet drones and training to attack US bases in the Middle East will be invaluable to China in killing Americans in any such future war.
