  1. Legal meth changed my life as an adult. I was depressed for a month or so after because I dwelled on what could have been in school.

I am thankful that my mother refused to put me on whatever medication they had in the 70’s. I didn’t have ADHD, I had intelligence that got bored because I was ahead of the class. Schools still don’t have reasonable ability or even willingness to help highly intelligent children.

I was diagnosed as a child. I refused medication, and graduated high school with a very low GPA. I barely made it out. Years later, I went to college. I was struggling, so I got re-diagnosed and started treatment. I went from barely passing to breaking the curve in every class. I graduated with a 3.76 with two science degrees, and went on to grad school.

Please fuck right off with this stigmatization and othering.
