Ancient philosophers were the original ‘Christians’. Modern Christianity is the worship of an idol that never existed. The Cathars discovered this truth and tried to bring the original belief system back to life. They were hunted by the Catholic Church and viciously murdered for speaking the truth.

I can get behind this, modern Christians worship a man and call him god, while also calling him the son of god.
Correct. The Cathars even buried the original scripture in the French mountains.
