Glad more companies are returning to full 5 days RTO. Work is supposed to be done in the office, with all your co-workers together in one place to foster community, culture, and collaboration.

This seems like a thing the market will solve. If you can get high-performing employees at a discount by offering remote work, you’d be stupid not to, no?

I fucking hate the c suite. They been paying people to do childcare and housework and maintenance for years by the time they get to where they are. None of their lessons apply to real people’s lives who have two jobs per household without an entire staff to do all the work. I’m gonna go get my kid from the bus this afternoon because I work from home. They can go fuck themselves

One aspect of WFH that became apparent in SF is that downtown workers were cash cows used to pay the city’s bills in return for a bare minimum of services.

Honestly, I’m kind of glad that remote work seems to be dying. I like my inflated coastal city salary, and if remote work became the norm, there’s no way I would be able to keep making that much. Eventually we’d all be getting paid Missouri wages and the best parts of the country would die off.
