It’s mainly a housing and affordability crisis, plain and simple. It’s not the only factor obviously but it’s probably the main reason. People have kids later on too. Look at the graph of births in America. Massive drop in 2008. Polymatter made a great video on this topic and I won’t be able to summarise it in a Reddit comment.
