Sickening. Gen X fake macho guys who never served but would totally “beat up the drill sergeant” or “have a bum knee from football” voting to hurt a population that is both vulnerable and deserving.
Seriously, these assholes have a hard on for every fucking Intervention they can find, and then they don’t care for the fallout to those of us who went.
I get that the cruelty is the point, but fuck these people and frankly every fucking person who said, “well egg prices were too high” can go straight to hell.

Nothing like pissing off a group who just spent two decades dealing with insurgency. That certainly can’t backfire in a nation filled with weapons!

The veterans disability system needs some reforms, I think that’s a fair conversation to have. But the vast majority of veterans aren’t receiving any compensation or healthcare at all, and for those that are, the vast majority aren’t scamming the system. I’m a disabled vet myself and active in the community, lots of solid disability claims get flat out denied, this isn’t a cash giveaway for anyone qualified that asks. Also, veterans are around 2% of the national budget, I think there’s less controversial fat that can be cut first. But yes, I’m fearful for what will happen to me when and if the day comes that my hard earned benefits are on the chopping block.
