  1. How? Doesn’t PVV alone carry near 50% in the poll?

    I would be delightfully surprised if exit poll turn out to be correct.

  2. Eh, considering how bad the polling got the national elections in the Netherlands last year, I’d wait until the voting has finished.

    How self-described neoliberals celebrate social-democrat and green victories over actual liberals is beyond me. These parties have absolutely bananas economic policies.

    If you match the mismatch of Dutch political parties to their European fractions you get a much bigger thing to celebrate: the Liberal fraction of renew Europe is tied 1st place winner with 7 seats!

    Out of 31 seats:

    * ID (PVV) 7
    * Renew (VVD, D66) 7
    * EPP (CDA, BBB*, NSC*) 6
    * Greens (GL-PvdA**, Volt) 5
    * S&D (GL-PvdA**) 4
    * LEFT (PvdD), 1
    * ECR (SGP), 1

    *These parties are not part of the EPP fraction yet.

    ** GL-PvdA got 8 seats, but will split those over two European fractions. Yes its confusing.

    > The pro-countryside BBB are polled at two seats, while four parties are on target to win one

    Another example of a super hyped Dutch far right party that won big in senate elections immediately imploding in the very next election.

    We hebben een serieus probleem met de politieke ontwikkelingen mbt de dwangwet en ik hoop dat dat de komende dagen kan worden opgelost
