I don’t mean to be a dick but the Biden admin is a dead duck. He’s got a month left in office and I doubt Trump will care if they renounce terrorism, protect women’s and minority rights, and dismantles chemical weapons. Is there a long-term plan to enforce these reformations? How will that plan change when Trump is in charge?

I think Israel has done a pretty good job of that in the past 48 hours. They efficiently disarmed the Syrian Navy too. And with Trump coming in office combined with their seizure of Golan Heights I think it will in ironically bode well for Syria.
I think in the end the biggest problem will be influence from Turkey. A chaotic and unstable Syria is bad for israel. But good for Edrogan. Because now that the refugee and immigration crisis out of Syria is over he’s going to lose some leverage with Europe. He no longer has a hand on the immigration valve as a threat.
