The historical precedent, since 1996, is the Presidential election winner is Time’s Person of the Year. It makes sense.

TIME person of the year is just the most influential person, NOT THE BEST, as Hitler and Stalin were both TIME persons of the yer, and they deserved it squarely, they were very INFLUENTIAL
Although i think that Netanyahu has a strong claim to that title this year
