This is why housing is expensive. Not Blackrock, landlord greed, or avocado toast…just your neighbors & parents who bought a house, then used local government regulations to make it impossible to build more (exclusionary zoning and NIMBY friendly laws)

Yup. They won’t allow apartments either. That’s also why they have a homelessness problem and people taking s**ts on their streets.
