Can we really talk about US lacking any kind of privacy protection? It seems like there is a massive data breach every other week now and pretty much all of them include sensitive personal information of at least some people who had absolutely nothing to do with the relevant company.

Just another reason why Congress should pass legislation ordering all credit reports be frozen by default.
