Honestly I don’t disagree with this.
Idk about one worldwide state, but I don’t really see why the US, Canada (once they either deport or naturalize their recent migrants-I don’t care or want to get involved in Indian affairs), and Mexico (once they get the cartel violence under control-possibly with American help) shouldn’t be in an EU style agreement that becomes statehood in a few decades when Mexicans and Quebecers learn English. We already have freeish trade.
Even from a republican Pov, the border is a lot easier to defend in southern Mexico or Panama. There are a lot of cultural similarities between Mexico and the southwest, and adjusted for age and income, Mexicans don’t really commit crimes. Country is also rapidly ageing so it’ll probably look somewhat like Italy in a few decades.
The US just makes sense as a nation where Canada and Mexico are the 51st and 52nd states. Defensible border, geographically contiguous, culturally similar.
If a trump presidency results in an EU arrangement and eventual annexation after Canada/mexico deals with their student visa/cartel problem, id be happy to wear a maga hat and buy a villa in Baja.
