Uhm, we’ve lived under an Oligarchy for a long, long time, and it’s politician’s fault (Explanation inside)

AOC recently went off on a rant about the US entering into an oligarchy due to Musk and Trump, but we’ve already lived in said oligarchy for a long time.

Look at all of the major industries in the US.
— Food is controlled and produced by just a few major corporations.
— Medicine is controlled and produced by just a few major corporations.
— Telecommunications is controlled and produced by just a few major corporations.
— Hospital systems are controlled by just a few major corporations.

…the list goes on and on.

The reason? Politicians are bought and paid for, and have been for a long, long time.

The solution? Fewer politicians, less regulation, and less power to the state overall. This way, you minimize the influence that the parasitic class (politicians) have to give their corporate masters.

Without the influence of politicians/law makers, these industries would no longer operate as oligopolies, but instead they’d be based on free and open markets with much more competition.

So, you will have people like AOC who attempt to twist reality. If Musk is able to implement half of what he wants, we’d reduce the effects of our oligarchy. AOC wants no part in that.
