  1. Remember when Republicans were totally against the use of paper ballots and were champions of electronic voting machines?

Does the “mandate” mean anything? Aren’t there already rules and laws in place

If paper is somehow less prone to fraud, why stop there? Make doctors keep all medical records on paper. Accounts need to stop using Excel and start using massive paper ledgers. Pharmacists must have handwritten prescriptions. Lawyers need to file physical documents.

But honestly, I just feel sorry for the workers who are now going to have to spend months counting these ballots by hand.

Sounds like a whole lot of smoke blowing by Youngkin (along with a whole lot of carefully worded election denial adjacent bullshit, gross).

Oh, you’re going to establish a chain of custody for ballots, monitor drop boxes, and validate your counting machines? You don’t fucking say??

Not familiar with VA’s particular process before the recent “changes”, but willing to put $10K on there having been equivalent and equally secure mechanisms in place before the recent tweaks.

Fuck me, this kind of rearranging of furniture and pretending your built of whole new house pisses me off in such a particular kind of way!
