President Biden just pardoned five members of his family in his last minutes in office: his brothers Jimmy and Frank Biden; his sister Valerie Biden Owens; Valerie’s husband, John Owens; and Jimmy’s wife, Sara Jones Biden.

  1. He might as well issue a self-pardon in these waning seconds plus a few more for Kamala and her family (jk, we know he dgaf about her). Irish mob-ass behavior.

  2. On one hand, I get it. Trump is scary.

On the other hand, the precedent this sets is disastrous. Trump and his inner circle now have full clearance to do horrendous things and then do blanket pardons at the end, and they can genuinely say Biden did it first.

Man would it be great to discuss this in either the DT or the TD with like-minded people during a historic event

  4. Never beating the “Biden Crime Family” accusations after this one. But then, what does it matter?

  5. “But think of the precedent! What’s gonna stop noted precedent-respecter Donald J Trump from doing the same thing?!!”

  6. For about six years, *a lot* of people on Reddit have insisted that accepting a pardon is admission of guilt as a way of discrediting Trump.

I wonder how they feel after seeing people like Biden’s family and Fauci get pardoned.

Of course. Biden only ever cared about himself and his just like Trump. Don’t ever pretend to not understand MAGA. Many of you are as cucked as they are.

  8. Wild that he didn’t pardon Vindman. Dude was the sole witness for Trump’s actions that lead to his first impeachment and still testified despite the reprecussions. Now he is left to the wolves. A dangerous precedent.

  9. Flabby-Nonsense on

When Biden was elected President, he was elected on a mandate to maintain and strengthen America’s institutions, which had suffered so much damage from Trump over the preceding 4 years.

For Biden to do this only serves to highlight the totality of his failure in that task.

  10. Establishing a new norm. Trump will pardon his family on his way out. And his entire administration too.

The pardon power needs to be excised from the Constitution.
