I do kind of agree with not taxing tips on principle; we don’t tax small gifts of cash people give to each other afterall, even if it becomes a social expectation. But $50 billion in tax revenue is a not-insignifcant loss, and we′re already starved of tax revenue in general. If it was paired with an all-around tax hike I′d be more on board.
