Ken Martin, chair of Minnesota Democrats said he was nearing the suffcient support needed to become next DNC leader.

He said in yesterday that he had support from 200 members of the party.

If this support level holds, he will needs only 25 votes to effectively become next DNC leader in 1 Febuary.

Ken Martin is calling for a 50 state strategy and hopes that appeals to youth will help save the party

Looks like 2026 and 2028 are a bust too, if this guy gets the leadership position

I have concerns about Ken. I’m not sure the head of Minnesota DFL will really know how to fight in swing states considering he’s been running arguably the safest blue in the union. I also don’t think Minnesota DFL is set for loads of success in the future. ATM they’ve turned a $17 billion surplus into a future $5 billion deficit. I think that’s gonna be really hard on the DFL when it rolls around in 2027.

  4. Does it really even matter who the DNC chair is? Like, positively or negatively does it actually mean anything?
