not a drama post I dropped into Reddit a couple of years ago for entertainment, discourse and knowledge. that's increasingly difficult around here. any other interesting platforms? I gave up Facebook in 2014, not interested in propaganda engines from either side of the political twix wars. thoughts?

Depends on your interests and age. Most social media can be pretty tailored to your tastes over time these days.
