It is hard to stay engaged without losing hope, it is to change things for the better without keeping hope, and it is hard to make change without staying engaged. The harsh reality that I face at 52 is that the change I want it will most likely not happen in my lifetime but the future will continue to worsen without the courage to change it, and my children will live in the world we build for them.
