  1. If this order is anything but 100% blocked by SCOTUS I’ll probably lose faith that it’s at all possible to recover from this presidency. The arguments used don’t follow even the most basic logic, only someone acting in malice could interpret the constitution that way.

    >>“I am having trouble understanding how a member of the bar could state unequivocally that this order is constitutional,” the judge told a U.S. Justice Department lawyer defending Trump’s order. “It just boggles my mind.”

Do you think they used AI to write this one too

  3. If you take this logic at face value and start going back in family history, many of us including some SCOTUS justices probably aren’t actually citizens. It’ll get tossed

    > U.S. District Judge John Coughenour at the urging of four Democratic-led states issued a temporary restraining order preventing the administration from enforcing the order, which the Republican president signed on Monday during his first day on office.

    > “I am having trouble understanding how a member of the bar could state unequivocally that this order is constitutional,” the judge told a U.S. Justice Department lawyer defending Trump’s order. “It just boggles my mind.”

    > “This is a blatantly unconstitutional order,” the judge said.

    > More than 150,000 newborn children would be denied citizenship annually if Trump’s order is allowed to stand, according to the Democratic-led states.

    !ping IMMIGRATION

  5. When reporting on this as it happened, CNN had a clown by the name of Bacon arguing that the 14th amendment wasn’t written with people immigrating to the US in mind. The anchor did not challenge him on this point, naturally.
