Terrible idea for the citizens of California and the United States. However a belligerent United States is proving to be too economically powerful.
It might be prudent for blue states to consider leaving and aligning with the other liberal powers of the world, particularly if the rest of the country wants to black mail California when it is facing natural disasters.
