Google says it will change Gulf of Mexico to ‘Gulf of America’ in Maps after government updates
They said it’s long standing practice to update when government sources change, and internationally (besides Mexico) it will be referred to as both the Gulf of Mexico and the Gulf of America. I can’t.
This was expected because If Google declines to do this they might face increased scrutiny and pressure from the Trump admin, especially with them handling multiple anti trust probes this could go badly for them. Google accepting this will face zero market share loss (Google is just so much more widely used its honestly wild), and people will just forget about 1-2 news cycles.

Trump be like “I really should’ve called it the Gulf of Trump”
Throw it onto the mountain of reasons we live in the stupidest timeline ever

What Apple say?
Pathetic.
We could have a little fun with this and turn it into another Committee on Education and Labor vs Committee on Education and the Workforce thing.
Hot take: I would gladly let Trump rename every landform in the world if it would keep him too busy to do anything else.
