The majority are covered up, or uninvestigated. For every outright murder there are many abuses of the highest severity.
This also happens in the UK/europe regularly.
In my opinion, the majority of the iceberg is extremely widespread. It is a brand of chastity culture, and goes beyond the immediate family.
FWIW, it’s very common in UK universities and high schools that guarding Muslim girls’ chastity is sometimes a big thing in student culture.
