  1. Lmao get fucked Trump. Canada and Mexico called his bluff and now he got humiliated on the world stage. Everyone now knows there is no weight behind his tariff threats

  2. So Trump just set all of our allies against us for no reason and got nothing of value for it.

I would like to, without a shred of evidence, blame insider trading for losing the race to post this 😤

    !ping CAN&CANUCKS

  4. He backed off – Canada is just doing what we were already doing… but we gave Trump a way to “save face”. Fentanyl Czar lmao

  5. On the one hand: THANK GOD

On the other hand: its not comforting that the economic viability of my country can be shattered at any second by this blowhard

  6. I can’t believe he folded on tariffs. WTF is this??? I was promised massive tariffs!!! All we get is some stupid border control? The American public needed to understand how destructive this type of leadership is. Now, we ain’t gonna get it lmao.

  7. Lol people are going to claim this as some Trump win but once again it’s basically a pittance from these nations in exchange for Trump not being able to fund tax cuts.

Honestly guys, I’m just so fucking exhausted of this man and his dementia-riddled mind.

We’re at the point now where Trump is going to cry and sulk and lick his wounds and complain about how everyone was so mean to him, and nobody wanted to “endure the pain” to make this happen.

It truly looks like nobody else in the US government apparatus wants this 51st state thing to happen. Not in Congress, not in the White House, not in the State Department. Heck, not even the news media. His White House staffers have repeatedly tried to build off-ramps for him, but he barrelled through nevertheless.

Imo, Trump truly believed that he could make the deal of the century by *willingly* convincing Canadians to become Americans. What a great legacy that would be. He appears genuinely dismayed that’s not the case.

I really hope this is the last we’ll hear of this crap.

  9. Here to post again dunking on everyone who told me Trump would have the political capital to invade Canada yesterday. Downvote me to oblivion but the pattern is obvious. He is a terrible negotiator with no real political capital. Of course he’s going to fold like this

  10. Of course arr con is spinning this as winning when the perception in the rest of the world is “dude is weak and got played to agree on something that was already the case but destroyed a relationship anyway”.

    >Threaten to enact obviously idiotic policy

    >foreign leaders do something performative and meaningless to make you shut up

    >declare victory

    Trump presidency 101

  12. I did this year’s stock purchase in my Roth IRA this morning. Thank you, Mr. President, for securing a one-day discount for me 🫡.

  13. Confirmed: Trump too cowardly to touch the stove.

Honestly given the shit Musk’s tech bros have been up to I’d rather Trump wreck the economy quickly so that his approval ratings can go into the toilet, where they belong.

  14. Seeing this I’m now pretty sure his threats at the EU will melt the moment VDV throws him the “we will buy your oil and gas (we would have anyway) bone and he will be so pleased he will TruthPost™

“Ursula von der Leyen has turned the EU into the BEST UNION EVER! Unbelievable leadership, making the European Union stronger than ever before. Maybe even the GREATEST UNION in history!”

The majority of this, the 1.3 billion dollar fund, was already announced a while ago.

The “new” announcements are such small and minor things. This feels like barely a drop in the bucket.

  16. Just for some extra malicious compliance, Canada should put in place a fentanyl czar that puts in place extensive import regulations, on all goods that are “fentanyl” related coming from the United States. You know, just to show that Canada is dealing with the crisis seriously and to make sure American companies are not making this drug war worse.

  17. I’m concerned all of the right will see this as a complete Trump victory…. He’s able to save face by getting the things he said he wanted (nominally) with no major impact to the US economy. As much as I hate to say it, I think all the people who matter are going to learn the wrong lessons from this.
