Okay, but hear me out: aren’t they about to reintroduce it, but with strings attached that you can’t *also* take belt and road money?

  2. My sister-in-law works for USAID. She and my brother and their kids are stationed in the Philippines.

My dad is a huge Trump supporter. I’m already estranged from him, but I have a feeling he might not have any kids left after this.

Why did the judiciary move so quickly for impoundment yet seem to be taking their sweet time with this?

  4. What an abject surrender of American soft power and diplomacy. Trump and Musk are directly damaging the United States, and legions of morons are cheering them on. Grim beyond measure.

  5. Really hoping China steps in and fills the void. Yes, of course I hate the commie bastards in the CCP, but humanitarianism outweighs that. Sucks that they get to potentially grab a huge soft power win here, but we’re surrendering the field.

  6. If USAID truly does close its doors, this will almost certainly result in the deaths of thousands around the world, deaths that would have otherwise been prevented. Trump, Musk, and MAGA will have killed these people.

Edit: If this were to persist long term, preventable deaths in the millions are seriously possible.

I know things are shaky right now but can this lead to multiple class action lawsuits?

Like not every state is an at work state. Can’t everyone who was technically fired have to show abject proof why they were fired.

I am not a lawyer. But this definitely seems like something a class action lawyer would take on in a heartbeat
