Trumps team has proposed cutting 12 Army Brigades and giving the money to the Navy and Air Force with a focus on China
It’ll be one of the largest transformations of our Military in recent years
To put these numbers in context, 12 Brigades represent about 15% of the total Brigades in the Army. The Brigades cut will be majority National Guard, but some Active units cut as well.
The Navy will reactive old Cruisers, increase acquisition of new Frigates and Submarines, accelerate procurement of “Drone Ships” and improve national shipbuilding infrastructure
The Air Force will accelerate new Aircraft development, aquire more F-35s, and procure more Drones
Both will also stockpile larger numbers of Anti-Ship, Anti-Aircraft, and Land Attack missiles

this is one of those things i agree with on the surface(army too big, navy and AF too small imo) but because its trump im extremely skeptical
