Fargo leaders defend citizen-initiated approval voting at state Capitol

Once again, the city of Fargo and members of the North Dakota Legislature find themselves deadlocked amid a push by state lawmakers to remove Fargo’s approval voting system.

House Bill 1297 seeks to ban approval voting throughout North Dakota. If passed, Fargo would no longer be allowed to use approval voting for local elections.
