Rep. Rich McCormick faced an angry crowd Thursday during a town hall in his Georgia district, where many constituents lashed out at the Republican lawmaker for his support of massive federal layoffs and budget cuts by the Trump administration's Department of Government Efficiency.
In video of the event taken by Greg Bluestein, a reporter for the Atlanta Journal-Constitution and an NBC News contributor, attendees clashed with McCormick, bashing both President Donald Trump and tech billionaire Elon Musk who is helping lead DOGE's efforts to drastically reduce government spending.

This is what will cause the big rift with Elon. He will take these cuts too far. The imepending mass DoD purge might just be the final straw…I hope.
Plus any major decrease in the defense budget will have disastrous economic consequence for lots of red states that rely on contracting money and defense manufacturing.
If you live in a red district, and your Representative is hosting a town hall, try to show up! Maybe ask an uncomfortable question. Clap, cheer a little, when someone makes a good point. Let them know that you care enough to show up, and you are not happy.
If these people didn’t want the government they depend on destroyed maybe they shouldn’t have voted for the guy who ran on destroying the government.
They’re typical conservatives who only care about bad things happening when they happen to them. Fuck them.
