Aside from being despicable, this is also just pathetic and embarrassing. It’s a billionaire mugging a hobo. US GDP is like $25T. Even if we take the delusional quoted figure of $500b value, that’s 2% of GDP, except spread over decades. All for the low low cost of pivoting away from decades of successful foreign policy in favor of running the US as a gangster state.
Trump once again proving he’s all about petty, short-term gains at the cost of the long-term (and why shouldn’t he be? It’s not his problem).
