There are bad and good regulations, sadly deregulation will probably be influenced by powerful lobbies, which will probably reinforce the bad regulations (which induce rent seeking, like agriculture regulations which reduce trade) and remove the good ones (which benefit society, like regulations on toxic chemicals).
