  1. Was interesting to read, maybe explains the Dem leadership’s tepid response to the Trump admin so far, but all in all I think it seems like a massive cope.

But the funding bill and debt ceiling will be the potential inflection point of anything big happening, imo.

  2. Actually this is something I’ve been manifesting for awhile. Wish there was a wave of those “OVER and COLLAPSED in 30 days” China youtube videos but for the US

Not that I’d ever watch any, but because I think it’d be funny

Carville, I like you for what you did in the 90s, but the game has changed. Too much for this theory to work. Will there be fights? Yes, already some reps are gets spammed with messages over agricultural grant freezes and impacts to public healthcare coverage. Will this break the GOP? No, the most damage I could see is some farm communities being closer in 2026 and having less support for Vance in 2028.

I remember when people were predicting this about his campaign to win the GOP nomination in 2015.

Great counterpoint to some of the groupthink on this sub. Trump and the Republicans have full control of the government. You need to let them make errors to capitalize on.

  6. I have a lot of respect for Carville, but it’s time to retire my man. Times have changed. Also, the Trump administration started out in a state of collapse. Chaos is the end game. There’s literally nothing to fall apart. We’re going to have four years where the only constant is Trump, everyone else is a temporary character in the reality show.

  7. The only time to listen to James Carville is if you need advice on losing an election just ask Joe Biden.

Depends on what he means by “collapse.” I do think that Trump and his inner circle’s Project 2025 plan to remold the state and liberal institutions to their will is likely to flounder. The aura of invincibility is already wavering, compared to a couple of weeks ago. They can still do a lot of damage though, and will for a while.
