Propaganda works. It’s why it’s used.
So Hispanic voters are less trans-affirming but more comfortable with pronouns?
This is discouraging, but a predictable outcome of the fact that only troglodytes on the right are making an easily digestible argument on this topic.
Enlightened people need to push back, but not with abstruse sociological or biological arguments. We need stories that put a human face on trans people, make it easier to empathize with them, and show how cruel anti-trans policies are in practice. We shouldn’t *need* to do this, but sadly we do.

Imagine being such a sensitive snowflake that someone using a different pronoun bothers you.
It isn’t surprising to see poll numbers drop in this category. The far right has launched a massive campaign effectively dehumanizing trans people, and the right wing propaganda networks picked it up and ran with it. Left leaning outlets think they are being “fair and balanced” by using half their airtime playing both sides bullshit when they need to push back on the constant disinformation pushed by the right.
