I’m not particularly religious, but it burns me up inside that someone like Russll Vought considers himself a devout Christian, yet sees no problem with a lending business having things like “toggle-off ‘donations'” hidden in its app. What’s Christ-like about that? Do they have any conception of the religion they claim to follow outside of *vibes!?*
Ugh, rant aside, I do find it interesting that the Trump administration seems to be walking back their prior claim that they could unilaterally *abolish* the CFPB… though I have no doubt Russell Vought’s vision for it is little better than outright abolition.
