  1. Smoothbrain fuckers.

The point is to dismantle NOAA I know. I just hope they get alllllll that comes out of it. These aren’t vacant buildings, the NCEP is *the* main building that houses every model. There also definitely cancelling a lease that hosts the radar operations center where maintenance and training is centralized and where parts are stored for our radar network. Just in time for hurricane season!

Without our local high resolution models we’ll have worse coverage during severe weather and hurricane events. We’ll have to rely on coarser global models which aren’t as great for forecasting thunderstorms and tornados. The US has some of the most unique weather on earth, there’s no reason to not handle forecasting and modeling in house. What a shame

Fucking morons. Trump has never gotten over the fact NOAA publicly pushed back on the sharpie drawing. What a baby.

  2. I can only hope a tornado comes specifically for Elon’s ass and he has no way of knowing it.

The irony being that I’ve never seen people so glued to their weather reports as southerners. Texans and Floridians know how to read storm trackers like it’s their job. They’ll tell you down to the minute when the storm is supposed to move past the 15th hole.
