    The Justice Department appears to be correct that the oral order was not enforceable until reduced to writing… which happened later and which didn’t include the bit about turning flights around. 

    Anyone encountered a civil case where an oral order was sufficient for contempt? 

  2. Does the judge have authority to deem someone in contempt of court and order an arrest?
