  1. Literally has more of a backbone against his own party than against his party’s rival.

    Fucking incredible

    Hard pills to swallow:

Schumer isn’t wrong to call this bluff, Dems bitch and moan online but don’t actually punish the party leadership in primaries. Until that happens, they aren’t going to give a shit about the complaints

  3. at this point the calls arent gonna go away. The base wants a head on a platter for the lackluster response to Trumps return and the failure of 2024 , his shitty handling of shutdown means they want him. At a certain point senators up for reelection in 2026 will be asked about why they support him with the primary swell that is forming i doubt they line up to back him

Schumer did the right thing and he’s got to pay for it with his Speakership. We’re not going to get out of this by being totally fair and giving everyone what they deserve. Sorry, Chuck.

I just want leadership with some dawg in them. Not a bunch of limp dick, weak, old-heads like Dick Durbin and Chuck Schumer

He can have his reasons. That’s fine. Just realize that your reasons are unpopular and out of step with the voters.

What I’m really struggling with is trying to understand _why_? Usually I can guess at people’s motives, even if I disagree with them. Schumer isn’t stupid, but I’m struggling to see the angle here. What does this gain?

I think this is why I disagree with those who call Biden selfish. As far as things go he let go pretty quickly for a situation where most people tend to get their heckles up.

I’m starting to think he might know something we don’t, and that terifies me
