I really hope most self-identified libertarians find all of this concerning, if not horrendous. If they generally approve, I think I’ll be bowing out of libertarianism altogether, no matter how correct Austrian Economics might be.

Genomic imprinting is a critical factor in mammalian development. Epigenetic effects in the womb are different dependent on which allele comes from which parent. Its a factor in why polyploid mammals always result in still birth. Androgenetic diploidy would also raise serious problems.

Lots of genes require expression from only the Maternal allele. Lots of paternal genes must be silenced, each of which would now be doubly active. This seems seriously fucked up.
