I wasn’t alive at the time but I am British so I believe I can give a very brief rundown.
I for one like her defense of the Falkland Islands in 1982,she brought in Section 28 for education which was meh at best but what she is really hated for is the crackdown on heavy industry in the north,such as coal and mining,which was a big part of the economy in many areas including Wales.
This period as a whole saw a move away from national industry and a shift towards outsourcing and private industry.
