I'm all for shrooms and weed, but I could never condone pills or any white powder. I've seen that type of thing ruin too many people's lives and I can't get behind legalising it. I still like the idea in theory, but I could never bring myself to put pen to paper to ever legalize anything that wasn't nicotine weed or shrooms.

Yes and yes. Why should a bunch of suits in DC tell us what we can or can’t do if only hurting ourselves
Never seen the movie. Was a paramedic in a major city with a major opioid problem for 14 years. The loss of life and productivity was tremendous. I can’t tell you how many ODs and OD deaths I’ve seen.
Still, I think it should be decriminalized if not legalized.
90%+ of people stop using drugs by their own volition and without intervention by the age of 25.
It isn’t legal currently, it exists, and it already produces same negative consequences. At least by legalizing it, you get it off the black market – where those profits fund terrible things.
A legitimate company might be able to supply better quality drugs, with less risk of OD death, or they could supply injection sites with monitoring etc. or even sponsor rehabilitation centres without the need for tax dollars.
To me the argument is to decriminalise it. I agree that meth and heroin shouldn’t be sold over the counter like picking up gum, but possession and usage also shouldn’t land you in jail. Instead, the addiction should be treated through controlled weaning, behavioural therapy, and rehabilitation to help users get back on their feet and not feel like they need to use to escape reality.
