Just thought I’d put this here. Because what the hell happened that the same Boomers who grew up with Superman and other “DEI” media now consider this controversial?
The Comics Code was wild. The dude who pushed for it genuinely loved children and thought he was doing what was best for them, even if it was misguided. “Hmm, most of the patients I treat read comic books, it must be the comic books causing them mental distress.”. On the upside, the Comics Code expressly forbid demeaning or discriminatory depictions of racial minorities.
