Never want to hear how good Republicans are for the economy ever again

Are these tariff figures accurate? On the sheets they put out it says based on tariffs and “currency manipulation and trade barriers” which seems like it’s something they’re calculating rather than actual tariff rates.

Remember yesterday when Israel dropped all their US tariffs, and now they’re getting hit harder than Iran because the Trump admin didn’t even take tariffs into account?

This is insane and hilarious. A whole department of people that could come up with complicated tariff amounts based numbers factors and put them into a model and the snake a global 10% tariff and half a trade deficit.
We truly live in mercantile times.

It’s somehow even stupider. New Zealand’s tariff rate according to them is 22%. 15% of that is GST, a flat tax paid on everything no matter the source.

🤦♂️Trade deficit is literally harmless, it actually pretty beneficial because we have more variety of consumer choices and more foreign capital.🤦♂️
