Mitch McConnell could have ripped Trump into pieces and tossed him into the trash, but no, he waited until this. I hope he is happy with the bed he made.

Not enough to break the presidential veto, but I guess it get everyone on the record. Not that the house is going to take it up anyway.

Congress won’t flex its muscle on this because the House is tethered to Trump politically. Guess what though? Monied interests run through the GOP. You think a “small” tax cut is going to make up for lighting the economy on fire? Absolutely not. I don’t see Trump successfully doing this without repercussions.

Watch markets be delusional and think this will pass and rally.

Fewest Rs ever to vote Yes to a tax cut.

I’m honestly surprised that another senator or two, especially from ones close to Canada or from farming states, didn’t join in.
It’s not like they’re going to pass it or defeat Trump anyways, but not a singular other defection, even from the Alaskan senators, surprises me.

Kaine gets a lot of flack for being a boring white guy by a lot of my fellow Dems and Virginians but I think he’s actually great

Does the house have to pass this or does it go to Trump next?
