A few months ago I read a post by a republican acquaintence that said a recession was probably inevitable, but necessary to get the economy back on track.
Living among MAGA nuts over the last 10ish years, there have been many nails in the coffin for me. They excuse the inexcusable under the guise that he’s a master of negotiation, or he’s playing 5D chess. That he’s going to bring prosperity to the country and that’s worth all the other bullshit he does.
So reading that, some gear finally locked into place in my brain. It’s *actually* a cult.
