Americans have been accused of “reading to much” let alone in relation to policy specifics

Uggg. Price controls of any sort are just foolish. Its such an ineffective solution. Or throwing money at it.

The way to increase the housing supply is to fix zoning and to incentivize local governments to do so. Carrot and stick.

Price controls is bad politics and bad policy. I don’t care if polls say 70% want price controls. The 30% who know what’s up will make a lot of noise, and rightly so.

The difference in media scrutiny between Kamala’s price gouging plan and Trump’s universal tariff is disappointing but unsurprising

  5. Price gouging isn’t when the groceries are up by 15%, it’s when say a train derailment causes suppliers to scalp their buyers because of the temporary supply shortage.
Not economically sound to punish the price gouger in these instances but I can understand the moral argument.
