I honestly think at this point almost nobody outside politicians actually treats or respects the Supreme Court as its supposed original intent as a non-partisan body. They either see it as a tool to give ultimate legitimacy to their laws or as a bunch of partisan hawks that act as an unelected Council of Elders.
