We’ve (the nuclear armed world) very effectively killed non-proliferation over the last 20 years.
The invasion of Iraq, Ukraine, the fact that Russia hasn’t attempted an invasion of NATO, the fact the USA hasn’t toppled Russia, all points to the fact that if you have nukes or a really good friend with nukes you’re untouchable.
Otherwise you’re meat. Iran has no motivation to stop developing nuclear weapons. In fact they have every reason to get one as quickly as possible.

Absent a return to the Obama deal, I can’t see it happening. Israel will be opposed to that. Russia will be opposed to anything more advantageous to us than that. Russia already lost face with the syria situation. Is Russia willing to leave Iran hanging?

Fast forward to when they sign a new nuclear deal, revitalize the regime and Orange Jesus claims its the best deal ever- 10 years after Obama signed the same one.
